Schema Generator for Shopify Stores

Shopify does a decent job with Product schema — price, availability, ratings appear in Google Shopping results automatically. What it does not do is Organisation schema, LocalBusiness schema for stores with physical locations, SoftwareApplication schema for SaaS products sold through Shopify, or AEO fields for AI search engines. What Shopify handles automatically

Shopify automatically generates Product schema for product pages including name, price, currency, availability and aggregateRating if you have reviews installed. This is genuinely useful and means your products can appear in Google Shopping rich results without any additional work.

Shopify also generates some basic WebSite schema and BreadcrumbList schema on most themes. Again, useful but limited.

What Shopify misses

Organisation schema with your full entity profile — telephone, email, founding date, legal name, VAT number, sameAs links to your social profiles and directories. Without this Google has a weak understanding of who your store belongs to.

LocalBusiness schema if you have a physical retail location. Shopify does not generate this at all, meaning your store does not benefit from Maps schema signals.

AEO fields: description, knowsAbout and featureList that AI search engines use to recommend your store in response to category or product queries.

Store-level aggregateRating if you collect overall store reviews (as distinct from product reviews). Trustpilot and Google Reviews store ratings need schema to appear in brand-level search results.

How to add it to Shopify
