Scam Detector False Positives: 7 Clean Sites Called Phishing

27 October 2026 · By John Carlsson
These are Scam Detector false positives. Scam Detector scores seven of my sites between 10.1 and 20.2 out of 100 and says each one was "Detected on blacklist engines" for phishing and spamming, but on 27 October 2026 none of the domains was listed on Spamhaus, SURBL or URIBL, the server IP was on no blacklist, and the main site the seven are built from is flagged by 0 of 92 vendors on VirusTotal.

On 27 October 2026 I found seven Scam Detector false positives on my own sites. The validator scores seven of them between 10.1 and 20.2 out of 100, tells readers that each one was "Detected on blacklist engines", says "the algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming", and ends: "we recommend staying away from this website".

All seven are single-page sites built from my main site, aiwebpageseo.com. They describe and link to free SEO, AEO, schema and security audit tools. None of them has a form, a login, a payment page or a download.

This is not the first time. In July 2026 Scam Detector made the same blacklist claim about aiwebpageseo.com itself. I proved it false, and they changed the page without telling me. I wrote about that in my Scam Detector investigation. Now the main site has vanished from their validator, and seven copies of it carry the same false claim instead.

This post sets out every statement Scam Detector makes, the facts, and the links that prove them. The full Scam Detector pages and my server checks are saved here, unedited: Scam Detector evidence, 27 October 2026.

The Scam Detector false positives

| Site | Score | Tags | |---|---|---| | aiwebpageseo.website | 10.1/100 | Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. | | aiwebpageseo.shop | 11.1/100 | Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. | | aiwebpageseo.store | 14.5/100 | Controversial. High-Risk. Unsafe. | | aipageseo.com | 14.6/100 | Controversial. High-Risk. Unsafe. | | aiwebpageseo.info | 17.3/100 | New. Suspicious. Dubious. | | aiwebpageseo.co.uk | 17.7/100 | New. Suspicious. Dubious. | | aipageseo.co.uk | 20.2/100 | Suspicious. Unsafe. Doubtful. |

Every one of the seven pages says "Detected on blacklist engines" and "high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming".

Statement 1: "Detected on blacklist engines"

On 27 October 2026 at 16:12 GMT I queried the blacklist engines directly from my server, for all seven sites, for aiwebpageseo.com and for the server IP address (87.106.96.71):

Google Safe Browsing reports no unsafe content. Google Safe Browsing: aiwebpageseo.com

On VirusTotal, aiwebpageseo.com is flagged by 0 of 92 vendors, and so is aiwebpageseo.website, the site Scam Detector scores lowest of all. VirusTotal: aiwebpageseo.com and VirusTotal: aiwebpageseo.website

Scam Detector does not name a single blacklist engine, a date or a listing on any of the seven pages.

Statement 2: "high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming"

None of the seven home pages has a form, a login, a payment page, an iframe, hidden or obfuscated code, or a link shortener. Phishing is not possible on these pages. I checked all seven home pages on my server on 27 October 2026.

Scam Detector does not say what spam was sent, when, from which address or to whom.

Every one of the seven pages also says this: "our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category". A site cannot be found guilty of phishing and spamming in one paragraph and have its category still under investigation in the next.

Statement 3: "merely a façade"

Scam Detector says aiwebpageseo.co.uk and aiwebpageseo.info are "merely a façade", and that aipageseo.co.uk is "just a facade". On the other four it asks "is it just a façade?" or "is it valid?".

Each page then quotes its own summary of the site. For aipageseo.co.uk it says: "The website offers free tools for website keyword analysis and schema debugging, helping users optimize their web pages for better search engine visibility." For aiwebpageseo.shop: "AIWebPageSEO offers a free website security audit tool that checks various security aspects such as headers, TLS, DNS, and email spoofing protection."

Those are accurate descriptions of real, working tools. Scam Detector's own summaries contradict its verdicts.

Statement 4: domain age

All seven domains were registered on 20 February 2026, on the same day, with the same registrar (IONOS). Scam Detector gives four different answers:

The WHOIS section on the same pages shows the registration date 2026-02-20. Scam Detector's data does not agree with itself.

Statement 5: aipageseo.com is "High-Risk"

aipageseo.com is a clean 301 redirect to my main site, https://aiwebpageseo.com/. Scam Detector's own dispute rules say: "we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs". It will not verify a redirect, but it will publish a "High-Risk" score for one.

Statement 6: "partner" companies "found the same issues"

Every page says: "We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues." The companies are not named.

The services that flagged some of these domains are each being challenged, and they are correcting their records. Bfore.ai has already withdrawn its verdict on aiwebpageseo.website, which now shows 0 of 92 on VirusTotal. Repeating another service's unchecked label does not make it true.

They hid my main site instead of fixing it

In July 2026 Scam Detector scored aiwebpageseo.com 15.5 out of 100 and said it was "Detected on blacklist engines". On 24 July 2026 I queried seven blacklist engines directly and none of them listed it. After I challenged them and published my findings, the page changed, without any notice to me, to "Not detected by any blacklist engine", and the score moved to 28.1.

On 27 October 2026, searching aiwebpageseo.com on the Scam Detector validator returns nothing at all. The main site has been taken out of view. The seven sites built from it, up to 97.6% the same once the domain names are ignored, are still published as phishing, spamming and blacklisted.

The same page cannot be fit to quietly withdraw on one domain and "High-Risk" on seven others. Hiding a report is not a correction. It also shows that these scores are not based on anyone looking at the sites.

Who profits from a low score

Every Scam Detector page about my sites carries affiliate promotions for Guardio and Incogni, and most also push Surfshark, all shown to the same readers it has just told to stay away from my business.

To challenge a score, Scam Detector asks the owner for incorporation documents, a personal LinkedIn profile, social media accounts and screenshots of satisfied customers, and says "the more proof, the higher your trust score". It asked for no evidence at all before it published that my business was a phishing and spamming operation.

Scam Detector is happy to tell the world that my sites could be scams, without a single piece of evidence. By the same standard, its pages could be malicious. I do not know whether this is negligence or something worse, but the effect on my business is the same: it has been publicly branded as phishing, spamming and blacklisted without a shred of proof, and my reputation has been seriously damaged.

What I have asked Scam Detector to do

  1. Remove the "Detected on blacklist engines" claim and the "phishing, spamming" allegation from all seven pages within 14 days, unless it can name the evidence for each domain.
  2. Correct the domain age and creation date on every page to 20 February 2026.
  3. Rescore all seven domains on the evidence, or withdraw the pages.
  4. Say what it has done with its page for aiwebpageseo.com, and whether that score is still held or shared anywhere.
  5. Respond in full to my data protection requests under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR (Articles 5(1)(d), 15, 16, 19, 21 and 22) within one month.

I have offered to prove ownership of every domain by a DNS TXT record or a verification file, and to supply my server file listings and scan output. I will update this post with their reply.

If Scam Detector has scored your site

Do not take a "Detected on blacklist engines" claim at face value. Check the blacklists yourself: Spamhaus, SURBL and URIBL all have free lookups, and VirusTotal shows more than 90 security vendors on one page. If they are all clean, save the results with the date and time.

Read the whole Scam Detector page about your site. Look for the line "our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category" and for the summary of your own site, because both often contradict the score.

Then write to info@scam-detector.com with your evidence. If you are in the UK or the EU and the score is linked to you as a sole trader, you can also use your rights under the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR to ask for the data behind the score and to have it corrected.

Frequently asked questions

Is Scam Detector accurate?

Not in this case. These are Scam Detector false positives: it scored seven of my sites between 10.1 and 20.2 out of 100 and said each one was detected on blacklist engines for phishing and spamming. Direct checks on Spamhaus, SURBL and URIBL found none of them listed, its own pages give three different wrong ages for domains registered on the same day, and every page admits its investigation is still working to pinpoint the specific category.

What does "Detected on blacklist engines" mean on Scam Detector?

It is Scam Detector's statement that the domain appears on one or more blacklists, but the page does not name the blacklist, the date or the listing. You can check this yourself with the free lookups from Spamhaus, SURBL and URIBL. In July 2026 Scam Detector changed this line to "Not detected by any blacklist engine" for aiwebpageseo.com only after the owner proved it false.

How is the Scam Detector trust score worked out?

Scam Detector says its algorithm scores each site out of 100 from 53 aggregated factors, including proximity to suspicious websites, threat, phishing, malware and spam profiles, blacklist status, HTTPS and domain age. It does not publish which factors applied to a site or what values were recorded, so an owner cannot see why a score is low.

How do I dispute Scam Detector false positives?

Email info@scam-detector.com with your evidence: dated blacklist results, VirusTotal and Google Safe Browsing results, and proof that you own the domain. Scam Detector asks for business documents, a personal LinkedIn profile, social media accounts and proof of customers. If the score is linked to you as an individual in the UK or the EU, you can also ask for the data behind it and for it to be corrected under the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR.

Why did Scam Detector remove a website from its validator?

Scam Detector does not say. In this case the page for aiwebpageseo.com stopped appearing in the validator after the score was challenged, while seven near-identical sites built from it kept their low scores and the same blacklist claim. Removing one page does not correct the others.
