Schema Generator for Squarespace Websites

Squarespace generates some basic schema automatically, but it is generic and incomplete. It does not write LocalBusiness schema with opening hours, geo coordinates or Google Business Profile links. It does not detect your specific business type. And you cannot install WordPress plugins to fix it. What Squarespace does and does not do for schema

Squarespace automatically adds WebSite and basic Organisation schema to most sites, and Product schema to e-commerce product pages. This is better than nothing but falls well short of what Google needs to display rich results for most business types.

For local businesses on Squarespace — restaurants, salons, consultants, trades, healthcare providers — there is no automatic LocalBusiness schema with opening hours, geo coordinates, service areas or Google Business Profile links. This means no opening hours in search results, no Maps-specific schema signals and no entity authority building.

How to add schema to Squarespace

Step 1 — Paste your Squarespace page URL into the AI Schema Generator. It fetches your page, detects your business type and writes the complete JSON-LD in about 60 seconds.

Step 2 — Use the enrich panel to add your opening hours, Google Business Profile URL, social profiles and directory listings.

Step 3 — Copy the generated JSON-LD.

Step 4 — In your Squarespace dashboard, go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. Paste the JSON-LD into the Header section. Save.
