Score History & Trends — Tracking Progress
Advice PageSeo · 8 March 2026 · 0 replies
Share your score trends over time. What actions caused the biggest improvements? Help others understand what to track and why.
A single score is a snapshot; the trend over several runs tells you more. Note the date of every change you make to your site, so you can match it to the next movement in your score. Share a chart or the figures for a change that clearly moved your score.
How the history is stored
The Score History page keeps your results in your browser's local storage, so it only shows the scans run in that browser on that device, and clearing your browser data removes them. Use Export JSON to keep a copy, and Import JSON to bring the history to another browser or computer.
What to track
Run the same audit on the same address each time, so the scores can be compared. Test again after every change you make, and at least once a month for the pages that matter most. Page speed scores vary from run to run, so look at the trend across several runs rather than one result.
Reading a drop
When a score falls, open both audits and compare the findings, not just the number. A new warning usually points to what changed: a plugin update, a new script, a larger image or a template edit. Note the date of every change to your site, so you can match it to the run where the score moved.
