Why was my new Google Business Profile suspended after I moved?
when a business moves, Google expects you to change the address on your existing profile, not close it and create a new one. A new profile with the same name, phone number and category looks to Google's systems like a duplicate or a re-created listing, which is a common trigger for an automatic suspension.
What to do, in this order
- Stop making changes. Do not edit the suspended profile again and do not create another one. Every change can restart the review or make the profile look more suspicious.
- Appeal through the Business Profile appeals tool. Check the reason it gives, then explain clearly that this is the same business that has moved, give the old profile's details, say it was closed because of the move, and say which Google help page told you to create a new profile.
- Send proof of the new address. A business utility bill, a lease or rental agreement, a business registration showing the new address, and photos of your signage at the new location with the street visible. Proof of the business at that exact address carries the most weight.
- Fix your details everywhere else. Your website, Facebook, Yell, Bing Places, Apple Maps and any directories should all show the new address. If the old address is all over the web and the new one is only on the profile, that mismatch works against you.
- Be patient. Appeals can take days or a few weeks.
If the appeal is refused
Reopen the original profile and change its address there. It still holds your reviews and history, and it is the route Google intended in the first place.
