# AIWebPageSEO — WCAG 2.2 Correction Handover

**Date:** 2026-10-24
**Status:** Agreed correction scope complete; broader site-wide conformance not established.
**Canonical evidence destination:** `/var/www/vhosts/aiwebpageseo.com/site-audit/public/tests/act-w3c/`

## Completed production changes

| Component | File | Recorded outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone Accessibility Audit frontend | `public/accessibility-audit.js` | 20 WCAG criteria requiring human verification marked `ran:false` rather than `ran:true`; prior regression 5/5 passed and JS syntax check passed. |
| Combined Audit browser PDF | `public/combined-audit.js` | WCAG 2.2 wording and assessment-scope statement corrected; pagination adjustment (`need(100)`) keeps scope paragraph together. |
| Backend PDF | `app.js` | Assessment-scope statement added; PM2 restarted and `pm2 save` recorded. |
| Accessibility report adapter | `report-orchestrator.js` | Scope row updated; note that `app.js` does not load this adapter in the reviewed path. |
| Standalone documentation | `public/performance-tools.html` | Describes rendered-browser WCAG 2.2 assessment and human-review requirements. |
| Combined documentation | `public/combined-audit.html` | Describes HTML-based WCAG 2.2 checks and separate contrast measurement. |
| Combined guide | `public/aipageseo-demo-pages/combined-audit-guide.html` | Describes HTML-based WCAG 2.2 accessibility checks. |
| Accessibility guide | `public/aipageseo-demo-pages/accessibility-guide.html` | Title, metadata, structured data, headings, FAQ and scope language reviewed/updated for WCAG 2.2. |
| Markdown documentation | `public/accessibility-audit.llms.md` | Reviewed; already accurate, so no edit required. |

## Recorded verification evidence

- Five public HTML pages returned HTTP 200, contained expected WCAG 2.2 content, passed basic Python `HTMLParser` parsing, and had one syntactically valid JSON-LD block each; **0 failures**. `HTMLParser` is not a complete HTML standards validator.
- Production Chromium/Puppeteer page-load smoke tests: `accessibility-audit.html` and `combined-audit.html` both returned HTTP 200 with **0 uncaught page JavaScript errors** during the observation period. These tests confirm page loading, not a full audit workflow.
- Standalone audit page: title `Website Accessibility Checker: Test Pages Against WCAG 2.2`, 9 buttons, 4 scripts.
- Combined audit page: title `Free Full Website Audit: SEO, Security and PDF Report`, 21 buttons, 7 scripts, 1 form.
- Combined Audit PDF supplied and inspected in the earlier workflow: WCAG 2.2 assessment scope appears together on page 7 of the 11-page report.
- User reports that PDF reports were delivered both by email and direct download and subsequently uploaded for inspection. This handover records that report-delivery evidence as user-confirmed; it does not claim a new independently instrumented delivery test.
- A live standalone Accessibility Audit was submitted through Puppeteer against the production website; the terminal output captured the end of the page rather than the results container, so **that specific run did not establish audit completion**. Earlier report evidence should not be overwritten by this inconclusive capture.
- Prior ACT/W3C test and remediation evidence remains in the canonical `act-w3c` directory; no ACT rerun or evidence relocation is part of this handover.

## Scope and limitations

- **Standalone Accessibility Audit:** Rendered-browser checks and documented human-review requirements; 55 WCAG 2.2 A/AA criteria are covered in the assessment framework, but coverage is **not** a 55/55 conformance pass.
- **Combined Audit:** HTML-based accessibility checks with separate contrast measurement; it is **not** a full rendered WCAG conformance assessment.
- Automated checks, PDFs, and documentation verification do **not** establish full WCAG 2.2 Level A/AA conformance for the audited site.
- No exhaustive scan of every frontend, backend, HTML or Markdown file across the entire website was performed. Completion applies to the agreed identified files.

## Closure and preservation

1. Keep historical ACT findings, validator sources, evidence packages, and checksums intact.
2. Preserve existing backups of modified production files; do not overwrite historical reports.
3. Do not repeat previously completed tests unless a concrete regression, changed requirement, or new failure warrants it.
4. Any later issue should be opened as a separate, evidence-linked task rather than reopening this correction work without cause.

**Closure decision:** Agreed WCAG 2.2 wording, scope, and manual-verification corrections are complete and the documented production checks passed, subject to the explicit limits above.
